Thanks Matt. From France, and as you mentioned, Revolut feels very international, while Monzo is more UK-focused. Where do you think Revolut would rank if it had been included in the survey?
Thanks Thomas. I hope at some point in the next years we will see Revolut in these surveys. In terms of how they would rank, I would expect they would do quite well. Revolut have a large number of customers who are really positive on the brand and talk about it openly. Assuming they take the same customer sample size for each bank then it will give us an interesting perspective though, as it would capture not just those who evangelise about the bank and sing its praises but the regular users as well.
Very interesting post Matt. As a happy Monzo customer who has also been a FD customer almost from day 1 (!) it's interesting to compare and contrast the two.
FD has always come across as efficient but they seem increasingly inflexible today. Maybe 'cool and detached' would be how I'd describe them.
With all the activity you've described Monzo really does create the impression of being on the side of the customer. Even though I'm never going to buy a Coventry shirt I can appreciate what they're doing.
And I'm gradually moving our family banking over to Monzo as a result!
Very insightful. The "service to the community" philosophy imbued into its products & marketing strategy is brilliant.
Thanks ๐๐ป I agree. And thatโs what makes them quite unique.
Love this piece! Very well researched and interesting to read!
Thanks so much for your kind words and feedback โ I really appreciate it ๐๐ป
